The Commission aids local governments in preparing and updating community park and open space plans that support implementation of the Regional Park and Open Space Plan.
The Commission assists local governments (cities, villages, and towns) in preparing and updating local park and open space plans. This work is conducted in response to requests from communities and is intended, in part, to help local governments meet Federal and State requirements for securing grants to help acquire and preserve park and open space land and develop recreational facilities.
