Basic financial support for the Commission’s work program is provided by a regional tax levy, State and Federal funding, and service agreements with local partners.
The Commission prepares an annual budget along with an overall work program, which are reviewed and approved by State and Federal funding agencies. Basic financial support for the budget and overall work program is provided by a regional tax levy apportioned to each of the seven counties based on equalized valuation. These levy funds are supplemented by State and Federal aids.
