Administrative Assistant

The Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, the nationally regarded regional planning agency for the seven county greater Milwaukee area, and the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization for the five urban areas within Southeastern Wisconsin, has an immediate opening for a part-time (15-20 hours per week) Administrative Assistant.

About the Opportunity

The Commission is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our diverse team of planners, engineers, and specialists to perform a variety of administrative, meeting, and report design tasks. This is a multi-function position that will support the work of the Director of Administration and the Senior Graphic Designer.

A recent graduate with qualifying internship experience may be considered for an entry level position.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the Leadership Team with scheduling, correspondence, workflow, and internal meetings
  • Transcribe recorded meeting discussions into formal minutes
  • Assist with production of Commission reports and documents
  • Help the Administration Division with front desk communication as needed
  • Carry out general administrative duties

Core Requirements

  • Administrative Support Specialist or Office Technology Assistant associate degree or equivalent associate’s degree preferred, related experience may be substituted for education
  • Professionalism, organizational skills, and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize the workload
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $20.00 to $26.00 per hour depending upon education and experience.
