Natural Resource Planning
In helping to preserve the Region’s natural resources, the Commission staff assists Federal, State, and local units of government in evaluating and assessing the environmental significance of specific development sites throughout the Region. This work includes conducting field identification of wetlands and environmental corridor boundaries and the evaluation of environmentally sensitive areas. The Commission staff also assists in the designation of special coastal areas for the Wisconsin Coastal Management Program.
